Vancouver Wedding Photographers
Our first wedding of 2013 and what a wedding to kick start the season! Erica and Allan, our ‘almost’ high school sweethearts, and Dan have all known each other since high school. We mentioned that a few times in their engagement session post here so moving on! They started their Tsawwassen wedding in Ladner at Sacred Heart Parish . We then hit the “ Secret Garden ” at Boundary Bay and then the beach where we were fortunate enough to find a spot for photos with no people in bathing suits in our background. Since it was a spectacularly sunny day, the beach front was blanketed with folks enjoying the warm weather, and rightfully so! For early May the weather was AWESOME and Dan couldn’t help but jump in the ocean (again).
Celebrations continued at Tsawwassen’s Beach Grove Golf Club . It was almost like a mini high school reunion for Dan. After enjoying a full buffet and dessert bar while listening to many speeches, the first dances began. Highlight of the evening? For us at least, we’d have to say the father-daughter dance. We’ve all seen it before where bride and dad start dancing to a slow song, and break out into a routine. Though Erica and her dad did a phenomenal job and truly surprised their guests, and even us! We had no idea it was going to happen, and had to quickly reposition ourselves and our lighting to get their moves. Love surprises!
Finally everyone hit the floor it was CRAZY!!! Dancing use to not be my favourite part of the day to photograph, mostly because I’m so tired by that point in the day. But lately I’ve been looking forward to the party time, especially when there’s a wicked DJ ( DJ QPID is amazing….!) when there is a lively group to photograph and Erica and Allan certainly had a lively bunch of family and friends.
