Vancouver Wedding Photographers

Typical Vancouver weather.  We’d say we reschedule more than half our e-sessions due to the weather network ALWAYS being wrong.  Fortunately an e-session can be rescheduled, but a wedding day cannot be!  Jo Dee and Henry’s engagement session around Vancouver had been in the works for quite some time now.  But as we got closer to our chosen date, the weather was all over the place; sunny one day, rainy the next, cloudy then rain, then sun!  We had no idea what we were going to get.  Tuesday morning, they finally made the call to postpone to a sunnier day.  It was cloudy, cold, wet, ugly.  Dang. Then at about 2pm, the sun was out and it looked like it was going to stay out.  We received a call around 2:30 from Henry – let’s do it!

Henry and I have known each other since high school.  We were both sport enthusiasts and were on the track & field and ultimate teams together.  We lost touch after high school, but about 2 years ago we got in touch again when we photographed his eldest sister’s wedding; Cindy & Bon !

Jo Dee & Henry’s engagement session was just down right awesome.  They are insanely fashionable people and easy to photograph, but more importantly, they are so easy to get along with, FUN and so so so generous.  Dan and I didn’t really want the session to end to be honest, we were having such an awesome time.  We both know their wedding at Sutton Place Hotel is going to rock, and I’m looking forward to see many old friends and acquaintances!

Enjoy some of our favourite images from their e-session!  We wandered from the Art Gallery where we played with cotton candy and scaled lion statues, to Stanley Park for a little picnic, to the Convention Centre for some romantic night shots.  A huge shout out to our super awesome assistant, Curtis, who made himself available on very short notice!
